If interim govt fails, BNP-people will fail too: Barrister Khokon
The BNP has supported the interim government with many hopes and if it fails, the BNP and the country's people will fail too, BNP chairperson's adviser Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon said today (1 February).
Speaking at a programme in Noakhali, he expressed his dissatisfaction with various aspects of the interim government's performance, including the failure to lower the price of essential goods after six months in office and the shortage of textbooks.
Barrister Khokon, also president of the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association, demanded exemplary punishment to those who have looted people's money over the last 15 years.
Regarding the upcoming election, he said if the election is delayed, the cohorts of the dictatorship will create anarchy in the country again because they have a lot of ill-gotten money.
Jatiyabadi Swechchhasebak Dal organised the 'Winter Clothes Distribution' programme.
Sonaimuri Upazila BNP member secretary Didar Hossain and municipal BNP convener Motaher Hossain Manik, among others, were also present on the occasion.
