Mirza Abbas warns of consequences if Khaleda not sent abroad within 36 hours
'There has been a conspiracy to kill the leader since the day she was arrested.'
If Khaleda Zia is not sent abroad within the next 36 hours and something happens to her, the consequences will not be good, warned BNP national standing committee member Mirza Abbas.
"I will again request sending the country's leader abroad for treatment within 48 hours... 12 hours have already passed... so within 36 hours," said the opposition leader before the doa mahfil at the party's central office in Naya Paltan on Monday morning.
He said, "We live in a fool's paradise. We only thought Khaleda Zia was arrested but they [Awami League] had been plotting her death since the day she was arrested. We did not realise this, only thought about the arrest. Only after her getting sick we are realising."
Actually, their plan was to arrest her and make her sick and push her toward death. That plan is now in effect. Otherwise, how can they say something so inhuman like there is no chance of sending Khaleda Zia abroad…There is a complication regarding the law, he added.
He said, "No law in the world comes to affect while saving a life. It is only humanitarian to give people the treatment they need, when they need it, regardless of the law. There is a law of the International Geneva Convention under which she can get medical treatment. Yet she is not being treated."
