Rubel, Monir re-elected president, general secretary of Capital Market Journalists’ Forum
The biennial elections to the forum was held during its annual general meeting at a city hotel on Friday
Hasan Imam Rubel, output editor at Channel 24, and Monir Hossain, senior reporter at the Daily Jugantor, have been reelected the president and general secretary of Capital Market Journalists' Forum respectively.
The forum reelected them to lead the community for next two years during its annual general meeting at a hotel in the capital on Friday. During the election, 58 out of 59 members cast their votes.
Additionally, Daily Manabzamin's reporter MM Masud has been elected as the vice president of the new executive committee of the forum, while BanglaNews24 dotcom's senior reporter SMA Kalam has become the joint secretary.
Abu Ali, a senior reporter at The Daily Amader Somoy, has been elected as treasurer.
Mahfuzul Islam from Barta24, Niaz Mahmud Sohel and Ibrahim Hossain Ovi from the Dhaka Tribune, Giash Uddin from Sunbd24, and Nazmul Islam Faruk from Sharebazar Pratidin have been elected as the members of the of Capital Market Journalists' Forum executive committee.
A three-member election commission comprising CMJF Adviser Shuniti Kumer Biswas, the forum's founding president Ziaur Rahman, and a senior member Raju Ahmed administered the election.
