PwC appointed consultant for Bangabandhu Satellite 2
PricewaterhouseCoopers will suggest what sort of satellite Bangladesh should use
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) – a multinational professional services network of firms – will suggest what sort of satellite is required for Bangladesh and from where it can be procured for launching Bangabandhu Satellite 2.
On Tuesday, the Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited (BSCL) appointed PwC as a consultant for the job.
To this end, BSCL Managing Director Shahriar Ahmed Chowdhury and PwC Advisor SSS Dr Luigi Scaria signed an agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

Posts and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar and BSCL Chairman Shahjahan Mahmud were present at the contract signing ceremony.
PwC has been given three months to submit its report to the BSCL and then the report would be forwarded to the government for a final decision.
The country launched its first satellite in May 2018 using the latest version of SpaceX's upgraded Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket, from the historic Kennedy Space Centre in Cape Canaveral.
The slot was rented from Russian satellite company Intersputnik for $28 million in January 2015.
