Railway will not transport any extra passengers ahead of Eid: Minister
The number of trains will not be increased during the Eid, he said
Railway Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan said the railway will not transport any extra passenger even if the pressure of passengers increases ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.
"There is no separate arrangement for the railway on the occasion of Eid. The train will run on Eid in the same way as it is running now following the health rules," said the minister after the inauguration of a tree plantation programme at Kamalapur Railway Station today.
Md Nurul Islam Sujan also said, "The number of trains will not be increased during the Eid. The government is discouraging people from going to their village homes on the occasion. So we will not increase the number of trains."
The minister urged people to stay where they are to protect themselves from the coronavirus crisis.
