Report on applications of deprived govt officers submitted to CA
Despite a 90-day timeline, the committee submitted its report ahead of schedule
The committee reviewing appeals from promotion-deprived retired officials submitted its report to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today.
The report, containing necessary recommendations, was presented at the state guest house Jamuna by committee chairman Zakir Ahmed Khan in the presence of other members, according to a press release.
The committee was formed by the government on 16 September 2024.
Headed by Zakir Ahmed Khan, a former finance secretary and Bangladesh's former alternate executive director (AED) at the World Bank, the five-member committee was tasked with reviewing appeals from officials who retired between 2009 and 4 August 2024 and had faced employment-related grievances under the Ministry of Public Administration.
Despite a 90-day timeline, the committee submitted its report ahead of schedule. Chief Adviser Yunus expressed his gratitude to the members for their prompt efforts.
