Rewards for providing information on wildlife trafficking, poaching

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has announced financial rewards for providing information on trafficking or poaching five categories of wildlife inside and outside the forest.
The reward will be given within seven days of providing the information. The highest prize is Tk50,000, reports Somoy TV.
According to the ministry's policy, the informers will be financially rewarded if a wildlife crime is uncovered based on their information. If the offense is solved later or offenders are nabbed, the informer may still be considered for the financial reward.
For providing information on tiger related crimes inside the forest, Tk50,000 will be given, and Tk25,000 will be rewarded for the crimes outside the forest.
For information on trafficking/poaching deer in the forest, Tk20,000 will be given, and Tk 10,000 will be rewarded for giving information on the crimes outside the forest.
In cases of crocodiles and elephants, Tk30,000 will be given for information inside the forest, and Tk15,000 for outside the forest.
For Information on tortoises and snakes, the reward is Tk15,000 and Tk10,000 respectively.
For birds and other wildlife, Tk10,000 will be given to the informant for detecting the crime inside the forest and Tk8,000 for information outside the forest.
