A 27-year-old air-conditioning technician died after falling off the 9th floor of a 12-storey building in the capital's Eskaton Garden Road area on Thursday (18 April).
Deceased Md Sohag, son of Abdul Mannan Howlader of Pathorghata upazila in Barguna, worked contractually with Sheba XYZ, an online-based maintenance service provider in the capital.
On Thursday afternoon, Sohag was working on the 9th floor of the 12-storey Triumph Tower building in Eskaton Garden, without maintaining safety. He just tied himself with a lacing, said Jalal Uddin, sub-inspector of Ramna police station.
"While working, he fell down as the tie unfastened
"The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for an autopsy," added Jalal.
