Shipping adviser to visit Chattogram port for three days

Shipping Adviser Brigadier General (retd) M Shakhawat Hossain will visit Chattogram for three days from 6-8 October to inspect the port.
During his visit, he will engage with various stakeholders and tour several key facilities, including the port itself, ongoing projects, and the submarine base.
According to the Ministry of Shipping, Hossain will participate in a briefing at the Chattogram Port Building concerning the activities of the Chattogram Port Authority (CPA).
In the afternoon, he will visit the Patenga Container Terminal, Bay Terminal, Laldiar Char, GCB, CCT, and NCT terminals of CPA.
On 7 October, Hossain will visit the Bangladesh Marine Academy to participate in an exchange meeting.
Later that afternoon, he will inspect the submarine base at Pekua.
On 8 October, he will meet officials at the Bangladesh Shipping Corporation and engage in discussions.
Following this, he will convene a meeting with heads of departments related to the port, including senior officials from Customs, Police, Railways, and various governmental agencies.
