Southeast university fined for enrolling extra students
The court ordered that the amount cannot be collected from students, rather has to be paid from university funds
The Appellate Division today fined Southeast university Tk10 lakh for admitting extra students in its LLB admission programme beyond the approval of University Grants Commission (UGC).
The Appellate Division, led by Chief Justice Syed Mahmood Hossain passed the order and also asked to pay the fine to the Bangladesh Bar Council.
The court also ordered that the amount cannot be collected from students, rather has to be paid from university funds.
On February 19, capital's city university was also fined for the same complaint.
