Students take oath to keep surroundings clean
The aim of the campaign is to create a clean and hygienic Bangladesh for future generations by creating awareness among school students
More than 700 students took an oath to keep their classrooms, schools and homes clean. Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque administered the oath during the inauguration of a cleanliness campaign on Wednesday at Azimpur Government Girls School and College.
The Bangladesh Scouts and ‘Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh’ are jointly organising the campaign titled 'Cleanliness Drive in Educational Institutions'.
The aim of the campaign is to create a clean and hygienic Bangladesh for future generations by creating awareness among school students. Through this campaign, students will be taught about personal hygiene, classroom cleanliness and the need for clean water and sanitation.
Students will also learn and practice proper hand washing methods.
Md Shah Kamal, the chief commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts, Md Fossiullah, the national deputy commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts, Salma Siddiqui, acting principal of Azimpur Government Girls School and College, Salahuddin Ahmed Tareq, marketing manager of ‘Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh' and Riaz, the ambassador of ‘Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh' were also present on the occasion.
