Three dead in a car accident in Cumilla
“The bodies of the deceased have been rescued and sent to Comilla Medical College Hospital’s morgue for autopsy.”
Three people including a couple were killed when a private car lost control and crashed into a canal nearby.
The incident took place at Korbanpur area of Bangora Police station in Cumilla's Muradnagar upazila on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Saddam Hossain, 27, son of Rafiqul Islam from Nabinogor upazila in Brahamnbaria, Saddam Hossain's wife, 24, and the private car driver Abdur Rahman, 28, son of Abul Bashar from Kabirhat upazila of Noakhali.
According to local sources and police, the car from Madhabpur of Brahmanpara upazila lost control while taking a turn near the Korbanpur Bazar area, killing the driver and the passengers as it crashed into a nearby canal.
Officer-in-Charge of Bangora police station, Md Kamruzzaman, said, "The bodies of the deceased have been rescued and sent to Comilla Medical College Hospital's morgue for autopsy."
