Three people, including a police official, were injured when a police jeep lost control and rammed into a pole on footpath in front of Chandrima Udyan in the capital today.
The injured are Officer-in-Charge (investigation) of Rampura Police Station Masud Parvez, driver Mohsin and Ansar member Akidul Islam.
They were taken to Rajarbagh Police Hospital.
OC Masud uses the police jeep.
Officer-in-Charge of Sher-e-Bangla Police Station Jane Alam Munsi said, "The car is from Rampura Police Station. A speedy motorcycle came in front of the vehicle on Lake Road adjacent to Chandrima Udyan around 10am. The jeep drove onto the footpath to save the motorcyclist."
The accident left the front of the car twisted.
Rampura Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Kuddus said, "One of our cars had an accident this morning. I am in the hospital. I do not know the cause of the accident. Let me serve the patients first."
