US Embassy in Dhaka to launch new system for visa services on 8 Feb
The current website — www.ustraveldocs.com — will be offline from Wednesday to Friday
In a significant upgrade to its visa services, the US Embassy in Dhaka announced the implementation of a new system for US visa applications, effective 8 February.
As part of this transition, the current website — www.ustraveldocs.com — will be offline from Wednesday (5 February) to Friday (7 February), the embassy said in a statement posted on its official Facebook page today (3 February).
"We will resume our website services via the new system on February 8," it said.

During the website's temporary downtime, applicants with scheduled appointments between Wednesday and Friday have been advised to attend their appointments as planned.
The embassy has confirmed that these scheduled appointments will proceed according to their original dates and times.
In addition to the system update, starting tomorrow (4 February), the US Embassy said it will begin releasing non-immigrant visa appointment slots at 3:30pm every Tuesday.
