The people of Bangladesh will get the vaccine of novel coronavirus gradually although a three-crore dose of the antigens will be brought primarily, said Health Minister Zahid Malik on Sunday.
The government has plan to bring more vaccine in order to vaccinate all, the minister said at a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh Mustafa Osman Turan at the secretariat at noon.
"We have signed a tripartite agreement between the health ministry, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd and the Serum Institute of India," the health minister told the Turkish envoy at the meeting.
A number of issues, including that of Rohingyas, community clinic service, activities of hospitals across the country, measles-rubella vaccine, dealing with the second wave of coronavirus and building good relationship between Bangladesh and Turkey were discussed at the meeting.
