Walton factories to remain open amid lockdown
All concerned departments and organisations have been directed to support Walton Group in this connection
The government has permitted Walton Group to continue production of electronic products and supply chain during the lockdown, imposed to contain coronavirus spread.
Various electronic and digital devices, including laptop, desktop, mobile, home appliances, kitchen appliances, and its uninterrupted customer services are necessary in order to lead normal life during the Covid-19 pandemic, reads a notice of Commerce Ministry on Sunday.
Hence, it is important to keep running the sales of Walton products and its customer services.
In this regard, all concerned departments and organisations have been directed to support Walton Group.
Meanwhile, the government has decided to allow factories to run during the full lockdown, which will be enforced from 14 April. The decision was taken on Sunday at a meeting chaired by Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam.
