A 25-year-old youth on Wednesday afternoon died after falling from the 8th floor of the Bashundhara City Shopping Complex in the capital.

Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Tejgaon Police Station Officer-In-charge (OC) Shamim Talukder said, "We received information that there is a dead body of a youth in the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue."

"We hear the youth went to level-8 using the market's escalator, looked around and jumped off the railing," he added quoting the shopping mall security unit.
Doctors on duty declared the youth dead after he was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
"It is not clear yet if the youth jumped off by himself or someone else pushed him. We will get confirmation after checking the CCTV footage," OC Shamim said.
