Zero dengue deaths reported in 24 hours
During this period, 86 new patients were hospitalised
The country reported zero deaths from dengue in the 24 hours leading up to Wednesday morning (1 January), according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During this period, 86 new patients were hospitalised.
Of the new cases, 14 were reported in the Dhaka North City Corporation, while 12 others were hospitalised in the Dhaka South City Corporation.
Currently, 536 dengue patients are receiving treatment in hospitals across the country.
Last year, dengue claimed the lives of 575 people.
According to the DGHS, there were 1,01,214 dengue cases and 1,00,040 recoveries in 2024.
