Cyber security workshop held
The workshop’s participants were given a tour of the National Data Center and CIRT
The Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) held a day-long workshop on cyber security awareness, in the BCC's meeting room, on Wednesday.
The workshop was attended by students and teachers from the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST).
BCC Executive Director Parthapratim Dev was present as the chief guest at the workshop, and it was conducted by BCC Director (CA Operations and Security) Tareq M Barkatullah.
The workshop presentation highlighted the activities of the BCC's Cyber Security and the Digital Security Act 2018. It included the: Data Center, Computer Networking, Incident Handling, and Bangladesh National Digital Architecture units' initiatives.
The chief guest emphasised the importance of cyber security after mentioning the role of the Bangladesh Computer Council.
During the workshop break, participants were given a tour of the National Data Center and CIRT and were informed about how the two conduct their activities.
During the workshop, Tariq M Barkatullah highlighted the BCC's data center and cyber security activities and their importance. The Senior Student Officer of MIST thanked the BCC for organising the workshop.
