The remittance-receiving customers of bKash will now receive digital healthcare solutions and they will be able to consult with doctors over the phone to avail various healthcare-associated benefits.
The largest mobile financial service provider of the country bKash has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Telenor Health, the purpose-driven digital health subsidiary established by the Telenor Group in 2015, at its corporate office in the capital.
Through this collaboration, remittance-receiving customers of bKash will be under health coverage of Telenor Health. The health coverage includes doctor consultation, cash coverage and hospital discount.
Andrew Smith, chief commercial officer, Telenor Health and Mizanur Rashid, chief commercial officer, bKash Limited signed the agreement.
From bKash, Kamal Quadir, chief executive officer and Ali Ahmmed, head of strategy and business development, commercial alongside Sajid Rahman, chief executive officer and Mohammad Mobydur Rahaman, head of B2B, partnerships and loyalty of Telenor Health were present at the occasion.
Sajid Rahman, chief executive officer, Telenor Health, said, "Remittance has significantly grown since 2005 in Bangladesh and it is a crucial part of our economy."
