ICAB commences workshop on “Audit Practice Software for CA firms”
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) organised a day-long workshop on "Audit Practice Software for CA Firms in Bangladesh" on Wednesday.
ICAB, an Autonomous Body under the Ministry of Commerce, has introduced automation in all functions of the institute including monitoring audit reports, activities of the quality assurance board, firm visits, etc.
In order to get the chartered accountants accustomed to the transformation, the institute organised the workshop where about 70 partners of different CA Firms participated, read a press release.
President of ICAB, Mahmudul Hasan Khusru, said, "Chartered accountants are always agile to any changes in businesses. They must adopt the IT-based audit software otherwise we will lag behind."
A live demo session on the audit practice software was conducted by Ken Chan, product specialist of CaseWare Asia Pte Ltd, through Zoom. Maria Howladar, member council and chairman of the project on "Development & amp; Implementation of Audit Practice Software for CA Firms in Bangladesh" introduced the audit software and its importance.
