Sheltech Technology wins President’s Award for Industrial Development-2018
Sheltech Technology Ltd has been awarded with President's Award for Industrial Development 2018 as a successful Enterprise in the category of Medium Industry.
The company won the award jointly with three other companies, for remarkable contributions in the development of industrial sector, said a press release.
A total of 19 businesses won the president award conferred by the Ministry of Industries. Four companies were awarded under large industries category while four others under medium, three under small, three under micro, three under cottage, and two under hi-tech categories.

To mark the occasion, a programme was organized at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka on Monday. Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun attended the programme as chief guest and handed over the crests and certificates to the winners.
Managing director of Sheltech Group, Tanvir Ahmed received the award on behalf of his company.
State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder and President of FBCCI Sheikh Fazle Fahim were special guests on the occasion with secretary to industries ministry K M Ali Azam in the chair.
The scoring of evaluation system formulated a 100-point by a special committee. Points were awarded based on annual turnover (12 points), regular revenue deposit (15), domestic raw material use (10), export income and production of import alternatives (10) and labour training and welfare measures (8). Another 5 points were earmarked for each of employment creation, social responsibility, worker safety, environmental protection, new innovation, product quality and efficient organizational management, quality control laboratory, and development and research.
