Walton launches new laptop model
The laptop is handy, suitable for students and affordable as well
Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited has launched "Prelude N41," a new laptop model, on Saturday at its factory in Chandra of Gazipur.
NM Zeaul Alam, senior secretary to the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division attended the launching ceremony as chief guest, according to a press release. SM Rezaul Alam, chairman of Walton Digi-Tech was also present there.
Speaking on the occasion, the ICT senior secretary said, "Walton is the 'Made in Bangladesh' ambassador. It is one of the pioneer companies in the country's IT sector. They are manufacturing hardware as well as software, and the company has diversity in products."
He continued, "The laptop that I inaugurated today is very handy. It is suitable for students and affordable too. IT skills are being developed in the country and Walton has created a field of work for them," reads the statement.
Zeaul Alam also called upon everyone to use locally made IT products. He said, "The government is very sincere in developing local industries and taking necessary steps to protect local industries."
A corporate documentary on Walton was also screened during the event.
Alamgir Alam Sarker, deputy managing director of Walton; Liakat Ali and Yousuf Ali, executive directors; and Shaninoor Sultana, deputy executive director, were also present at the event, among others.
