13 officials of Chattogram Custom House test Covid-19 positive

A total of 13 officials of Chattogram Custom House have been tested positive for Covid-19 till Thursday.
"Among the infected officers, six are revenue officers, six assistant revenue officers and one is computer operator," said Nur-A-Hasna Sanjida Anusuya, assistant commissioner, Audit Investigation and Research (AIR) Unit of Chattogram Custom House.
Chattogram Custom House Commissioner Mohammad Fakhrul Alam said, "Many people gather here as 92 percent of the country's import-export trade is done through this customs station. The customs officials are getting infected with virus while going for work."
Some 3,000 to 3,500 people gather at Chattogram Custom House every day including the officials, agent owners, employees and other service holders, he added.
