Barguna doctor shifted to isolation as health conditions deteriorated

A doctor has been sent to the isolation centre at Barguna General Hospital after his health conditions deteriorated while staying in home quarantine.
The physician had been in home quarantine since Thursday last after he developed symptoms similar to those of the novel coronavirus.
The hospital authorities immediately collected his sample and sent it to the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) for the test, confirmed Barguna Civil Surgeon Dr Humayun Shaheen Khan.
Whether the doctor is infected with the coronavirus will be known once the IEDCR delivers the report, he said.
Barguna Deputy Commissioner Mostain Billah said the doctor showed coronavirus symptoms. "However, I have been informed that the doctor's health condition is now stable."
