Dhaka central jail prison guard tests positive for Covid-19
The infected staff has been admitted to a local hospital in Zinzira
A prison guard at Dhaka Central Jail has tested positive for Covid-19.
He has been admitted to a hospital in Zinzira of Keraniganj.
Confirming the matter, Jailer Mahbubul Islam said the prison guard used to stay at the old central jail in Bakshibazar and take ailing prisoners to different city hospitals.

"We asked him to go for coronavirus test when he had fever, cough and cold two days ago. The Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research today informed that he tested positive," said Mahbubur.
Three more prison guards who came in contact with him have been sent to home quarantine, he added.
The jailer said, "We have made the use of face masks mandatory for all prison guards, arranged thermometer for testing their body temperature and provided personal protective equipment for those who discharge duties for sick prisoners at different hospitals."
