CMP deputy commissioner dies of Covid-19
He breathed his last at around 4am at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Central Police Hospital at Rajarbagh
Mizanur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), has died in Dhaka from Covid-19 infection early today.
He breathed his last at around 4am at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Central Police Hospital at Rajarbagh, said a press release of CMP.
Mizanur Rahman was working in the Detective Branch (South) of CMP.
He had been undergoing treatment at the hospital since June 28 after being infected with coronavirus.
Mahbubur Rahman, commissioner of CMP, expressed deep shock at his death.
So far five members of CMP have died from the deadly virus infection.
