CU Professor dies from Covid-19
He breathed his last at around 9:45 pm while undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of Parkview Hospital

Shafiul Alam Tarafdar, (54), a professor of the Mathematics Department of Chittagong University, died of Covid-19 infection Thursday night.
"He breathed his last at around 9:45 pm while undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of Parkview Hospital in Chattogram," CU Acting Registrar Professor SM Monirul Hasan said.
He was admitted to the Hospital on June 9 after being infected with the virus, he added.

Over 40 teachers including Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Shirin Akhtar, students and staff of the university tested coronavirus positive so far.
On July 29, Freedom fighter Md Latiful Alam Chowdhury, the husband of CU VC, died from pneumonia one week later of being recovered from coronavirus.
