Health secretary’s wife dies of Covid-19
Kamrun Nahar, the wife of Health Services Division's Secretary Md Abdul Mannan, died of Covid-19 at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Saturday night.
Dr Ayesha Akter, assistant director at the control room of the Directorate General of Health Service, confirmed it to The Business Standard.
Earlier on June 11, Kamrun Nahar was admitted to Anwer Khan Modern Hospital in the capital after being tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Later she was taken to CMH on Saturday as her condition deteriorated.

In 24 hours till 8am on Saturday, Bangladesh confirmed 44 more deaths from the novel coronavirus and 2,856 new cases.
Some 13,638 samples were tested by 59 labs across Bangladesh, said sources at the Directorate General of Health Services.
