House-wise lockdown starts in Noakhali as Covid-19 on the rise
At least 101 people have been infected with coronavirus in the last 24 hours
The district administration has started imposing house-wise lockdown in Noakhali district as the cases of Covid-19 have increased compared to last month.
"The number of coronavirus patients has increased in the district as well as in the upazilas," said District Civil Surgeon Dr Masum Iftekhar on Monday.
"A union based committee has been established in every upazila to impose lockdown in houses where Covid patients will be detected," he added.
At least 101 people have been infected with coronavirus in the last 24 hours. Total 121 people have died of this disease. The rate of new infection is 29.36 percent.
Total 8,536 people have been diagnosed with the virus in the district.
