PHP factory locked down as worker tests positive for Covid-19
More than 150 staffs and workers of the factory were instructed to stay in home-quarantine for 14 days
A factory of PHP Family has been put under lockdown after a worker tested positive for Covid-19 at Sitakunda upazila in Chattogram.
Confirming to the matter to The Business Standard, officer-in-charge of Sitakunda Police Station Firoz Hossain Mollah said, "The factory kept under lockdown as a foreman of the factory tested positive for the coronavirus. More than 150 staffs and workers of the factory were instructed to stay in home-quarantine for 14 days."
On Wednesday, 11 people tested positive for the virus, of them two hailed from Sitakunda upazila. The samples were tested at Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) in Chattogram.
