Police have increased surveillance at drug stores across the country as several mugging incidents have occurred at various places including Dhaka.
Amid the coronavirus scare, Police Headquarters have taken this necessary step to prevent any further incidents.
Sohel Rana, Assistant Inspector General (media and public relations) of Police Headquarters (PHQ), said that they increased mobile patrol teams and would be patrolling around the shops to ensure safety of the staff.
He further said that during any financial exchange, no one should be allowed inside the shops, if possible, and called for installing CCTV cameras for better protection.
