Woman suffering Covid-19 symptoms dies in Cox’s Bazar hospital
The patient was also suffering from asthma and diabetes
A woman has died with Covid-19 symptoms in the Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital seven minutes after getting admitted in the isolation unit of the facility.
"The patient was suffering from asthma and diabetes, along with the novel coronavirus symptoms," said Dr Shaheen Abdur Rahman, residential medical officer (RMO) of the hospital on Thursday.
The patient's blood sugar level was 500 mg/dl (milligrams per deciliter), said Dr Md Shahjahan Nazir, assistant professor of the hospital's Clinical Tropical Medicine department.
A reading of 160 mg/dl or higher is typically considered a high blood sugar level.
The woman's sample has been collected to test for the novel coronavirus, considering the nationwide outbreak of the pandemic.
