Biman Md Zahidul Islam Bhuiyan made OSD
Zahidul Islam Bhuiyan, the former managing director (MD) and former chief executive officer (CEO) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited, has been made an officer on special duty (OSD) today (15 August).
He was made OSD by an order from the Ministry of Public Administration.
Zahidul Islam, who is an additional secretary, was appointed as the managing director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines in the last week of May this year. He is an officer of the 18th batch of the BCS (administration) cadre.
Prior to joining Biman, he served as the private secretary (joint secretary) to Salman F Rahman, the former prime minister's advisor on private industry and investment, for five years.
Earlier, Zahidul served in the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Commerce, and Ministry of Expatriate Welfare.
He also served as the first secretary (Labour) at the Bangladesh Embassy in Seoul.
