Saudia Airlines fined for carrying passengers with no Covid report
The airliner was slapped with the fine for carrying those passengers on three flights to Dhaka in last two days
Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport authorities have fined Saudia Airlines with Tk2 lakh for carrying a total of 516 passengers without Covid-19 test certificates.

In the last 24 hours (from 8 am on 15 December to 16 December morning) Saudia Airlines has brought some 260 more passengers without Covid free health report, according to airport sources.

All of the passengers have been sent to the quarantine center in the country. In addition, 156 people from the UN mission in Congo came without Covid clearance certificates. They have been sent to quarantine under the supervision of the army.
Earlier, Maldives Airlines was fined with Tk2.56 lakh on 11 December for bringing 128 passengers without negative Covid-19 certificates.
The Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) has issued a notification on 13 December directing that the flights of the concerned airlines will be canceled if passengers are brought without a coronavirus free health report.
Authorities also said that if any airline is repeatedly involved in such incidents, disciplinary action will be taken against them by canceling the flight for two weeks.
