AIBL reports TK34,676cr deposits in 2020
At the same period, the bank invested Tk30,976 crore
Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited (AIBL) registered total deposits of Tk9,480 crore last year, amide the Covid-19 pandemic, according to its un-audited accounts.
At the same period, the bank invested Tk30,976 crore, while the import and export of the bank were Tk16,960 crore and Tk10,496 crore respectively.
The information was disclosed during AIBL's Annual Business Development Conference 2021, held virtually on Saturday, reads a press release.
Abdus Samad Labu, chairman of AIBL, inaugurated the conference as the chief guest, it added.
It was presided by Farman R Chowdhury, managing director and CEO of the bank.
Members of the board of directors of AIBL Salim Rahman, Badiur Rahman, Abdul Malek Mollah, Md Anowar Hossain, Engr Kh Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Ahamedul Hoque, Niaz Ahmed, Mohammed Haroon, Md Rafiqul Islam and Md Amir Uddin PPM attended the virtual meeting.
Among others Deputy Managing Directors SM Jaffar, Shabbir Ahmed, Md Shafiqur Rahman, Syed Masodul Bari, Md Mahmudur Rahman, AIBTRI Director General Md Abdul Awwal Sarker, senior executives of head office and managers of 184 branches of the bank also participated in the conference.
