Bank Asia, BIID sign deal to promote women entrepreneurship
Through the agreement, women who want to be entrepreneurs can avail themselves of online services under the B-Lab initiative
Bank Asia Ltd and Bangladesh Institute for ICT Development (BIID) have signed an agreement with an aim to foster entrepreneurship among women and rural youth through Business Incubation Facility under B-Lab initiative.
Around 1,00,000 women entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to explore their full potentials in business, said a press release.
President and Managing Director of Bank Asia Md Arfan Ali, and BIID CEO Md Shahid Uddin Akbar signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations at Bank Asia Tower, Kawran Bazar, Dhaka, recently.
Through the agreement, women who want to be entrepreneurs can avail themselves of online services under the B-Lab initiative.
Bank Asia will provide training for the women entrepreneurs on financial literacy to enhance their financial capability.
In addition, the entrepreneurs will be trained on legal, organisational, accounting, planning, distribution and quality control issues for planning and managing their business successfully.
