Al-Arafah Islami Bank steps into 30 years

Al-Arafah Islami Bank (AIB) Plc has reached a significant milestone, celebrating its 30th anniversary.

To mark this momentous occasion, a discussion meeting and prayer ceremony were organized at the Bank's head office and all branches and sub-branches across the country on Sunday, 29 September. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed individuals, including the Chairman of the Board Khwaja Shahriar, who delivered a speech as the chief guest. The ceremony was presided over by the Managing Director and CEO Farman R. Chowdhury, with Directors of the Bank Md. Shahin Ul Islam and  Md. Abdul Wadud also shared their thoughts. Directors Professor Dr. Mohammed Abu Eusuf and Mohammad Asraful Hassan FCA were also in attendance, making the event truly memorable.

The Deputy Managing Directors of the Bank, Syed Masudul Bari, Muhammed Nadim, Md. Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury, Md. Asaduzzaman Bhuiyan, Mohammed Hossain, the Departmental head, and senior Executives were present at the ceremony. Senior Executives of the Bank, the Zonal Head, Branch Managers, Sub-Branch In-charges, Valued Clients, and well-wishers also joined the event virtually. 

Al-Arafah Islami Bank, which commenced its banking operations on 27 September 1995, has since grown and flourished. The Bank now provides advanced banking services to customers through 225 branches, 72 sub-branches, 745 agent outlets, and 225 ATM booths across the country. The total amount of Bank deposit is 51 thousand 530 crore (June'24) and investment amount is 46 thousand 561 crore TK. The Bank's success is further evident in its total number of customers, which stands at 36 lakhs, including more than 2 lac 5 thousand investment clients. This growth and success are a testament to our employees' dedication and hard work and the trust and support of our valued customers and stakeholders. 

In the chief guest's speech, the Chairman of the Bank, Khawaja Shahriar, said that Al-Arafah Islami Bank has been playing an essential role in the country's agriculture, economy, trade, industry and infrastructure. Besides, he extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the customers, well-wishers, patrons and regulatory bodies of the Bank on this auspicious occasion.

Managing Director and CEO Farman R. Chowdhury said Al Arafah Islami Bank has been providing services to customers sincerely since its inception.
