BRAC Bank has entered into a payment gateway agreement with Akij Logistics Ltd. to facilitate seamless online payment for air ticket purchases using Visa and MasterCard. This partnership enables Akij Logistics to accept payments through its official website, akijair.com, and mobile app, providing a convenient and cashless solution for customers.
Akijair.com, an online travel agency, offers comprehensive travel services, including air tickets and tour packages. With this collaboration, customers can now experience faster processing of refund and cancellation requests for tickets purchased through cards, thanks to BRAC Bank's advanced Online Merchant Service Portal.

The agreement was signed on December 29, 2024, at BRAC Bank's headquarters in Dhaka. Md. Mahiul Islam, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail Banking at BRAC Bank, and Md. Fazley Houda, CEO of Akij Logistics, represented their respective organisations. Also present were Khairuddin Ahmed, Head of Merchant Acquiring, and Ashraful Alam, Head of Alliance from BRAC Bank, along with Daraz Mahmud, Chief Commercial Officer of Akij Air.
