BAF Shaheen English Medium College annual sports event held
Arslan Rahman was judged best athlete of the year, winning two gold medals
The closing ceremony of the inter-house annual sports competition (2021-2022) of BAF Shaheen English Medium College took place on the college premises on Thursday.
This year Mars house became champion with 10 gold, five silver, and eight bronze medals, while Jupiter house was the runner-up with eight gold, six silver, and six bronze medals.
Arslan Rahman of Jupiter House was judged best athlete of the year, winning two gold medals, says an ISPR press release.
Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bashar, Air Vice-Marshal Muhammad Kamrul Islam attended the programme as chief guest.
As chairman of the college's governing body, he applauded the remarkable achievements of the students both in academic and extra-curricular activities.
He congratulated the winners of various different athletic competitions and distributed prizes.
Mars House in the 4x100 metre relay race (boys), Fiona Rahman of Mars House in the 100-metre race for the intermediate group (girls), and Adnan Sami of Venus House in the 50-metre biscuit race for junior group (boys), won gold medals on Thursday.
Senior BAF officers, teachers and parents, and the principal of the college, were present at the ceremony.
