Nagad now facilitates Southeast Bank loan and DPS payments
Customers can now pay Southeast Bank's savings and loan instalments through Nagad, the Bangladesh Postal Department's mobile financial service provider.
This initiative was launched today (Wednesday) at an event held at the head office of Southeast Bank.
Nagad Administrator Muhommad Badiuzzaman Dider, Nagad Deputy Managing Director Shihab Uddin Chowdhury, Southeast Bank PLC Managing Director Nuruddin Mohammad Sadeque Hussain, and other senior officials from both organisations attended the event.
Muhommad Badiuzzaman Dider, speaking at the event, said, "Banks and MFS providers are working together to advance financial inclusion in the country. Nagad, as an organisation, aims to enrich the country's economy. Collaborating with a second-generation bank like Southeast Bank, we hope to bring meaningful changes to people's lives in remote areas. This new option of depositing money from Nagad to banks will make life easier for customers."
Nagad and Southeast Bank have a long-standing business relationship. Together, they have opened new horizons in bank-mobile financial services partnerships in Bangladesh. In addition to Southeast Bank, several other banks allow loan instalment and DPS payments via Nagad.
