NU VC urges teachers to avoid political involvement
Teachers must refrain from politics. This is imperative to enhance the quality of education.
It is seen that some members of the college governing bodies are bowing down before undue offers from the college authorities. This was stated by National University (NU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr ASM Amanullah while speaking as the Chief Guest at a function organised by Dhaka Commerce College in the city today. He said steps are being made to check the adoption of unfair means in the exams.
Later, the NUVC, on another occasion, gave a cheque for Tk. 3 lac to the family of Meherunesa of Hazrat Shah Ali Girls' College, who was killed during the July-August uprising. Dr. Prof. Amanullah also inaugurated a library in the name of martyr Meherunnesa.
