SBAC Bank Elects Mr. Engr. Md. Moklesur Rahman as Chairman
Engr. Md. Moklesur Rahman, one of the sponsor directors of SBAC Bank PLC, has been elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. He was unanimously chosen at the 186th Board meeting held on 30th September 2024. Prior to his new appointment, Mr. Rahman served as the Vice-Chairman of the bank.
Mr. Rahman is the founder of the B&T Group, a leading conglomerate with multiple business concerns, including Contech Construction Ltd., B&T Knitwear Ltd., B&T Cables Ltd., B&T Cold Storage Ltd., B&T Development Ltd., B&T Meter Ltd., B&T Transformers Ltd., Smart Meter, Pre-Stressed Poles Ltd., Nexus Securities Ltd., Tushar Ceramics Ltd., PMJ Asset Management Ltd., and BD Game Studio Ltd.
He holds a B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) and has been recognised for his outstanding academic achievements.

Born into a noble Muslim family in Jibannagar, Chuadanga, Mr. Rahman is actively engaged in social, cultural, and religious activities. He is well-known for his philanthropic efforts in education and plays a significant role in the country's industrial and commercial sectors, contributing to economic development and job creation.
Mr. Rahman succeeds Abu Zafar Mohammad Shofiuddin as Chairman, following the completion of Mr. Shofiuddin's tenure.
