Southeast Bank distributes special CSR fund to support farmers
Southeast Bank PLC has continued its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by providing financial assistance to farmers in key areas: increasing agricultural yields, purchasing agricultural equipment, and processing agricultural products.
The financial support was distributed by Mr. Nuruddin Md. Sadeque Hossain, Managing Director of Southeast Bank, at the bank's head office. The initiative is part of the bank's efforts to uplift marginal farmers and support the growth of the agricultural sector.
To facilitate the distribution, Southeast Bank collaborated with Nari Unnayan Forum NGO, which helped channel the funds to the farmers in need. Afroza Sultana, Founder and Executive Director of Nari Unnayan Forum, attended the event along with the farmers who benefited from the assistance. The ceremony was also attended by Md. Masum Uddin Khan and Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Directors of Southeast Bank, along with officials from both Southeast Bank and Nari Unnayan Forum.
This initiative underscores Southeast Bank's ongoing commitment to contributing to the development of the agricultural sector and supporting local communities.
