Finance Division asks for opinions on budget online
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal is expected to present the budget for the 2020-21 fiscal year on June 11 at the parliament
The Finance Division has asked organisations, professionals, researchers and economists to give their opinions on the FY2020-21 budget proposal online as a pre-budget meeting could not be organised because of the coronavirus outbreak.
"The government has taken this initiative so that everyone can give their opinions on the budget," a circular signed by the ministry's Public Relation Officer Gazi Towhidul Islam reads.
"Stakeholders will be able to give their opinions until the formulation of the budget," it adds.
Anyone can visit the Finance Ministry's website and click on "Opinion/Suggestion for Budget 2020-21 Preparation" tab to give their opinions on the budget. The ministry will consider all opinions.
