Three organisations allotted land in Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City
Three organisations have signed memorandums of understanding with the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority to set up units in "Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City".
The agreements were signed on Tuesday at Janata Tower Software Technology Park in the capital's Karwan Bazaar.
Hosne Ara Begum, managing director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority signed the land allotment deals.
Excel Intelligent Solutions Ltd. will manufacture state-of-the-art security surveillance equipment for world-renowned security surveillance solution brand Hikvision, digital devices of other brands, AI, and robotics equipment.
The company has been allotted two acres of land in the Hi-Tech City. Managing Director Gautam Saha signed the agreement on behalf of Excel Intelligent Solutions.
Under the agreement, the company will invest $3 million, creating about 350 jobs.
Kinbo Smart Manufacturing Industries Limited will manufacture smart televisions, smart phones, laptops, CCTV cameras and smart home appliances on one acre of land.
Managing Director Md. Hasib Ahmed signed the agreement on behalf of the company that will invest $1 million and create 650 jobs.
Another organisation, the Child Health Research Foundation will work on genome sequencing, biotechnology and research and development projects on its allotted one acre of land.
Executive Director Prof. Sameer Kumar Sarkar signed the $8 million investment deal to create employment opportunities for 120 people.
Hosne Ara Begum said 42 organisations, including the aforementioned three, had been allotted space in Hi-Tech City, set up on 355 acres of land.
14 companies have already begun operations.
