CSE 30 Index revised
The biannual revision will be effective from 1 November 2020
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has revised its blue-chip index CSE 30 on the basis of performance of the listed companies.
The biannual revision will be effective from 1 November 2020, said the port city bourse in a statement on Sunday.
Aamra Networks limited, Bd Finance & Investment Company, Esquire Knit Composite, Khulna Power Company, Singer Bangladesh and The City Bank Limited have been included in the index this time.
On the other hand, Eastern Bank Limited, Envoy Textiles, Export Import Bank of Bangladesh, GSP Finance Company (Bangladesh), Heidelberg Cement Bangladesh and Unique Hotel & Resorts Limited have been excluded from the prestigious list of selective 30 companies.
CSE 30 companies contribute to 18.41% of the total market capitalisation of all stocks listed with the bourse. The contribution is 27% in terms of free-float market capitalization.
The new list of CSE 30 Index constituent companies includes Al-Arafah Islami Bank, Jamuna Bank, Prime Bank and The City Bank from the banking sector.
In the list, Jamuna Oil Company, Meghna Petroleum, Padma Oil Company, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited are government-run listed companies.
Doreen Power Generations and Systems, Khulna Power Company, Summit Power and MJL Bangladesh are the private sector energy and power companies on the list.
IDLC Finance and Bd Finance & Investment Co are the non-banking financial institutions in the list of CSE30.
From the pharmaceutical sector, Orion Pharma, Square Pharmaceuticals, and Acme Laboratories are on the CSE30 list.
Private sector steel companies included on the list are Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills, Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills and BSRM Steels.
Singer Bangladesh and Bata Shoe Company (Bd) are the multinational companies on the list.
From the textile sector, Esquire Knit Composite and Argon Denims are on the list.
Bangladesh National Insurance Company and Delta Life Insurance Company are the insurance companies in the list.
Eastern Housing, Aamra Networks, Olympic Industries and Aman Feed will also be on the list from other sectors.
