Dhaka stocks drop as investors await Robi IPO

The turnover, one of the major indicator of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), fell by 26% at the beginning of the session as the investors are saving money to subscribe the country's second largest telecom company, Robi shares.

Country's biggest IPO subscription of Robi Axiata's share will begin tomorrow. That is why most of the investors are waiting on this issue, said a stock brokerage firm official.
However, DSEX rose by 6.52 points or 0.13% to 4,874 till 11:30am.
The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gained 16.42 points to 13,962.
Moreover, Shariah index of the bourse gained 5.89 points to 1,120 and the blue-chip index DS30 increased by 4.69 points to 1,701.
Out of the 332 issues traded during the same time frame, 132 company's share prices advanced, 107 declined and 93 remained unchanged.
