Stocks open higher on the first day of 2025

The benchmark index DSEX of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) surged 21 points to reach 5,238 in the first half an hour of today's (1 January) trading session, which is also the first day of this year.
During the session till 10:30am, 225 issues advanced, while 40 declined and 58 remained unchanged.
Orion Infusion topped the turnover table, followed by City Bank and Intraco Refueling.
