Two Beximco firms approve dividends for FY24
According to a press release, Beximco Ltd declared a 5% stock dividend for the year ended 30 June 2024 during its AGM, held on 30 December via a hybrid platform
The two listed firms of the Beximco Group – Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd (Beximco Ltd) and Shinepukur Ceramics – have approved their declared dividends during their annual general meetings (AGMs) for the 2023-24 fiscal year.
According to a press release, Beximco Ltd declared a 5% stock dividend for the year ended 30 June 2024 during its AGM, held on 30 December via a hybrid platform.
The shareholders approved the directors' report, audited financial statements, 5% stock dividend, appointment of directors, and appointment of auditors for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
The AGM was presided over by OK Chowdhury, managing director of Beximco Ltd. Its directors Iqbal Ahmed and AB Siddiqur Rahman, and independent directors Shah Monjurul Hoque and Masud Ekramullah Khan, Md Asad Ullah, the executive director and company secretary, and Md Luthfor Rahman, CFO, were also in attendance.
The AGM of Shinepukur Ceramics was held on 30 December through a hybrid platform.
In a press release, the company said the board approved a 2% cash dividend for the year ended on 30 June to the general shareholders (excluding sponsors) in the AGM.
The shareholders approved the directors' report, audited financial statements, 2% cash dividend, appointment of director and appointment of auditors for the year 2024-25.
The press release stated that the meeting was presided over by OK Chowdhury, director of the company. Iqbal Ahmed, director, Barrister Faheemul Huq, independent director and Mohammad Asad Ullah, executive director and company secretary, also attended the meeting.
